Dan Petrov and Jennifer Cohen recently obtained a settlement for client Maggie Keenan in a case she brought against top Cuyahoga County government officials. The County agreed to pay Ms. Keenan $550,000 and recharacterize her termination as a resignation. Ms. Keenan alleged that the County ended her employment in December 2019, after she internally voiced concerns about the safety of jail inmates, corruption in County departments, and discrimination in the workplace. Ms. Keenan was a dedicated public servant of Cuyahoga County whose work performance was well regarded. TPG is thrilled to obtain this outcome with and for Ms. Keenan, which honors her contributions and efforts to serve the citizens of Cuyahoga County.
