Jennifer F. Cohen
Jennifer Cohen is an attorney with Thorman Petrov Group. Jennifer focuses her legal practice on cases involving discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowers, harassment, and other violations of civil and constitutional rights. She has a particular interest in social justice litigation.
Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government from Cornell University. She received her law degree from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was a member of the Civil Rights and Police Accountability Project of the Edwin F. Mandel Legal Aid Clinic. She also served as secretary of the school's ACLU chapter and was on the staff of the Chicago Journal of International Law.
Prior to joining the firm in 2019, Jennifer served as an Assistant Legal Counsel for the Illinois Department of Employment Security, a law clerk to then-Chief Judge James G. Carr of the Northern District of Ohio, a staff attorney with the ACLU of New Mexico, and a pro bono attorney with Equip for Equality.
Jennifer is admitted in Ohio and Illinois, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She is admitted but has taken inactive status in the State of New Mexico and the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico.
